Trans Surgery Scarring
Both male to female and female to male affirmation surgeries will naturally be accompanied by extensive scarring on various parts of the body. Every client is different in terms of scar formation. Often these scars serve as painful reminders, or are just bothersome. Revising such scars helps to make the transition smoother. When microchannelling is conducted in the scarred areas, the skin is signalled to initiate a complex repair cascade which goes on for weeks to months after each treatment. Over several sessions the scars become significantly less visible, and skin becomes smoother. Any discoloration at the scarring site gradually improves. It is common for numbness to be present for quite some time post-surgery; microchannelling cannot eliminate this, but it is possible that the treatment may stimulate enough repair that normal sensation begins to return.
